Mark 16:1–8
No.79- Faith Needs Help

After studying Jesus’ life and teachings for nearly two years—79 sermons, every verse—you might think our faith should be unshakable by now. With all the history, prophecy, and truth we’ve uncovered, doubt should be gone and our spiritual maturity firing on all cylinders. But knowledge alone doesn’t eliminate doubt; if it did, Peter wouldn’t have denied Jesus, Judas wouldn’t have betrayed Him, and the disciples wouldn’t have run in fear. Even the most faithful women at the tomb struggled with fear and uncertainty despite everything they had seen. Their struggle reminds us that faith isn’t built on information alone, it needs help. And if they wrestled with doubt, what makes us think we won’t. As we begin Mark 16 and the story of Jesus’ resurrection, we see that even His most loyal followers needed God’s help to believe the resurrection was true, and so do we.
