Mark 16:9–20
No.80- (YourNameHere)TheEvangelist

As Christians, many of us believe the New Testament is inspired and reliable because we’ve been told so—but couldn’t explain why. Yet there are powerful, compelling reasons to trust it, reasons almost as miraculous as the resurrection itself. As we reach the final section of Mark, we encounter a passage that wasn’t written by Mark but added later by scribes. That might sound unsettling, but the very process that allows us to identify it is the same process that proves the accuracy and preservation of the rest of Scripture. This unusual ending doesn’t weaken the Gospel—it highlights its historical integrity and the profound impact Mark’s writing had on the early church. It reminds us that the story we’ve studied for 79 weeks is trustworthy, precious, and world shaping. In our final sermon in the Gospel of Mark, we explore the controversial last twelve verses and discover verifiable, historically grounded reasons why we can trust the New Testament as reliable and authoritative.
