Mark 14:32–42
No.70- Gethsemane Jesus

There’s a difference between knowing about someone and truly knowing them—we know about celebrities, but we don’t know them personally. Many Christians treat Jesus the same way, knowing facts about Him while avoiding the cost of intimacy. Most believers stay at the surface level, content with information rather than the relationship. But if you want to truly know Jesus, where do you go. This week’s passage takes us into Gethsemane—into Jesus’ inner circle, into His anguish, into His surrender. This is where we meet the real Jesus, not just the Savior who rescues us but the Savior who suffers for us. In this sermon, we learn what it means to truly know Jesus, not just know about Him, and it begins by meeting “Gethsemane Jesus,” the One who invites us into His deepest, most vulnerable moment.
