The political mood in our country is very divided. In many ways, it’s right down the middle. It’s hard to find common ground that everyone can agree on, but I think the one place that all of us agree on and are in sweet unison and peace on is the subject of taxes. All of us love to pay taxes. Income taxes, property taxes, sales taxes, taxes, taxes, taxes! Just saying the word is fun right? You like the way it flows off your tongue? Say it with me… “TAXES” That’s why the most admired government institution is the IRS. It’s right up there with lawyers! Nobody would ever make jokes about the IRS, it’s adored. When you ask someone what they do for a living and they say, “Oh I work for the IRS”, your first thought is “wow, the IRS, you are like a celebrity!” There may be disagreement on how much taxes others should pay, but none of us like our taxes.
