I pray a lot during praise and worship. During “Holy, Holy, Holy” this morning, I began praying and asking Jesus to remove the health issues I’ve been going through (or growing through, as I like to say). I asked for a miraculous healing—the kind that would astonish the entire medical community. One that would make them say, “How can this be?”
But in that moment with God, as soon as I made that unlikely request, I was overwhelmed with comfort and gratitude. I felt Him reminding me that He is helping me. I have an amazing life. I am blessed beyond anything I ever imagined. I heard, “I am with you. I am helping you. I have saved you. You are redeemed.” The important stuff, ya know.
I can share this testimony with others. Maybe it’s not about a miraculous healing, but about Jesus using me as one of His soldiers—someone who can show others the strength I’ve been given through Jesus Christ, and that I can navigate this ungodly world by His grace, love, and mercy.
A testimony that could bring my family to Christ.
Pastor Joe’s sermon preview…
“How do you love King Jesus, while others you love reject Him? The answer may cut deeper than you think.”

When I read this post on Wednesday on Facebook, I was eager to hear Pastor Joe’s message this morning, as it is surely something I can relate to.
The same King who opened my eyes and ears this morning can open theirs too. I will not end relationships with the people I love most because of their disbelief in Jesus—but I also will not water down my faith. I will stand firmly for Jesus, the One who pierces the darkness of my once-darkened heart. I will continue to love and follow the One who set me free from the bondages that once held me captive.
And if they decide to end the relationship on their terms, I’ll be okay. Because we will all stand before God one day—every head bowed.
2 Corinthians 4:6 says,
“For God, who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness,’ made His light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.”
Just as God opened my ears to listen to Him in prayer this morning, He can open their ears and eyes as well.
And so I pray this today…
God, thank You for Pastor Joe’s message today. I know You don’t want me to isolate from those who don’t yet believe in You, but instead to be so filled with Your Spirit that they see You in me and begin to crave Your love too. Keep my eyes open to see You and my ears open to hear You, so that I may continue to receive Your blessings and share them with others.
Amen.
