It’s hard to preach todays passage without chasing rabbit trails, but we are going to try to stick to the text today. Have you ever met someone so immersed in their job, their work, nothing around them can distract them? What’s look like when a Christian is so transformed by the work of Jesus they are fully immersed in the priesthood? What if Christians… you… could be this immersed in the Kingdom? Why do we struggle with Kingdom commitment? Comparing to what these 1st century believers faced & what they had to do, aren’t our struggles a little embarrassing? How can you be transformed enough to be fully immersed in Kingdom work as Peter describes in our study? Is it simply “deciding” to do better, trying harder? Is it a supernatural consequence of the cross? Or a little of both? I believe it’s the power of God’s covenant promise, how it transforms His elect when He immerses us in it.
