No.11- When Egypt Has No Answers

Every human being since creation has searched for spiritual truth. It’s woven into the core of the human experience. And Egypt—our world—has plenty of answers to offer when the stakes are low. But when the stakes are high, when life collapses, when the questions cut deep, Egypt’s answers fall apart. Often, we don’t recognize our desperate need for spiritual truth—or Egypt’s inability to provide it—until we’re in crisis. Emotional, philosophical, and spiritual desperation creates a thirst for answers at the deepest levels. And when people reach for the sources, they’ve always trusted—Egyptian sources—they come up empty. Hopelessness follows. Egypt leaves us floundering in uncertainty, questioning the meaning of life, unable to make sense of suffering or eternity. The truth is this: even the best answers from science, philosophy, or culture still depend on the foundation of spiritual truth. Because if those “answers” can’t comfort you in despair, can’t speak to eternity, can’t anchor you when life breaks—what good are they? This is why there are moments when Egypt simply cannot provide the answers people seek. And it’s in those moments that God steps in. He reveals truth. He brings clarity. And often, He does it through His children—through us. Today we’re studying the moment Pharaoh realized that the source of truth he had relied on his entire life had failed him. And in that moment of desperation, God provided the answers Egypt never could.
