The first four weeks of our Joseph series focused on the dysfunction of humanity, how deeply broken we are, how easily sin takes root, and how far the ripple effects can reach. But this next section turns a corner. Now we look at God’s grace in the lives of those He loves. Many people live paralyzed for years because their eyes are fixed on their circumstances and the unknown. We carry guilt over our dysfunction, our inconsistency, our sinfulness, and we become prisoners to all of it. The question is: how do we escape that trap? How do we rise above the emotional and psychological weight of guilt? The only path to freedom is understanding grace—its power, its effects, and how to recognize it when it shows up in our lives. That’s where we’re headed in the next several weeks of our Surviving Egypt series. We’ll explore the role of grace in the life of Joseph and his family and discover how the same grace that carried them can carry us too.
