I was blessed to be home today at Gracelife. And as usual it was where I needed to be and what I needed desperately to hear. I knew it would be when Pastor Joe said it would be hard. I knew further that it was a divine moment during worship when I went to not ask for anything, but to praise. And then I felt my friends behind me. And then I felt Jesus.

No, I’m fine. No, I’m just sick. No, I’ve got it. I promise I’m ok! Listen, maybe God needs ME to hold the Ark?!? Did you ever think about that? Because if I’m not in control then who is? And isn’t that where faith comes in?

Far too often I need to be in control. Too often I allow myself, no, I encourage myself. Too often I rely on my own judgement and understanding. And sometimes I self destruct.

Today’s message was like crystal. I don’t got this. I’m not ok. I’m not in control. I don’t know what I’m doing. But by His mercy and GRACE I have some pretty clear directions. For reasons unknown, I have indeed been chosen to hear and receive His instructions. And by faith I will follow. With love I will choose Him back. And with gratitude I will live to fight another day. And the next time I think that I am strong enough to keep the Ark from falling I fully expect you, my Gracelife family, to not so gently remind me. It doesn’t say in the Bible that Samantha did anything. But it does say who did.
